Broomfield Hospital surgeons’ cycle to Norwich raises £2,600 for cancer therapy machine

Plastic surgeons at Broomfield Hospital cycled to join an international conference in Norwich and raise money for a machine to reduce the “painful” after-effects which can occur after surgery or radiotherapy treatment for cancer. The group of five’s 95 mile endeavour to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital raised £2,665 towards a £22,000 perometer, which measures the amount of fluid built up in a patient’s limbs when they suffer from lymphoedema, a chronic condition that causes swelling in the body’s tissues.
