Plans for £65m Birmingham hospital set for green light

A new £65m hospital for NHS and private patients in Birmingham is expected to be given the green light next week. The plans were first revealed in July 2017 by University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and HCA Healthcare UK with the development having space for 138 beds and expected to be completed by 2020. It will treat people over the age of 18 and will increase capacity for NHS patients, providing 72 new beds and a radiotherapy unit.
